Tai chi is a great exercise for seniors. There are seated routines for people who cannot stand for periods of time. Mostly, Tai Chi is performed standing. The movements flow into one another and provide strength training because of the slow movements. These exercises are load bearing so they help bone density. If the exercises are performed for 12 minutes or more, Tai Chi provides increased cardiovascular capacity. Fall prevention is another benefit of practicing Tai Chi.

Tai Chi is very good for seniors over 60 because it is low impact and easy to perform.
